F took me riding in the van twice this week.
Speaking of boring - I have supervised the spreading of 3 trailer loads of horses hit on half of the old doink ball pitch. F grows vegetables there now. Honestly could a dog's life get any more tedious than watching vegetables grow where we used to play football?
Exciting.
Not exciting.

| That's a yawn... (and that isn't a bullet hole. Let's call it Birds Hit) |
I did get myself told off when we stopped at some roadworks traffic controls. I barked at 4 women in the paddock over the fence. When F told me to stop I carried on muttering under my breath until we drove on. They were chasing a little white ball around a big green paddock waving sticks at it.
F called them 'golfers'.
Later we stopped in the middle of nowhere because F liked the look of this barn.... also boring
It's Saturday here but might still be Friday on the eastern side of the date line so we will post some pictures of nature and join the LLB gang celebrating Nature Friday.

Scully
Note from F: Scully got to walk the community trap line with us yesterday (1 rat), and today. And this morning got treats for pointing out that the trap in our rhubarb patch had captured another rodent. It's not all k9 hardship around here. (And she conveniently forgot to mention she disgraced herself during a visit to the garden centre - fortunately right beside the 'Doggy Clean-up Kit'. The fact a kit existed suggests she's not been the only one.)

thank you for the BIG SMILE on my face. Can you see my tongue pointing back at you? Love from MadSnapper and Beau...
ReplyDeleteF hadn't noticed me poking my tongue out at her photographing me.

ReplyDeleteOh Scully, mate, you are actually living the best of all lives, methinks! Thanks for the trip repawt and for confirming that F's growing field is growing, even as your playing field recedes. I'm sure other spaces will be available! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx (who has chosen to ignore F's addendum on your 'accident'...)
Hmmm - no accident. Sniffed and covered up the last k9 graffiti...
DeleteI love, Love, LOVE that vertical slice of landscape with the trees, pond, and mountains. Someone needs to paint that! You?
ReplyDeleteHelen, my painting skills are not up to it - and Im too emotionally invested in the scene (the whole walk) to see any of my efforts as anything but a failing. Come out here and I'll provide you with the means to paint it in the place, rhe light of each moment, the way the water changes colour with tides or cloud or fog - or in moonlight with bioluminescence glowing blue green
DeleteHow thoughtful to provide a doggy clean-up kit. Scully, are you responsible for REPAIRS?
ReplyDeleteOh Scully. I too do not understand people who go around hitting a ball just to get it to go into a little hole.
ReplyDeleteSeems like a perfect way to ruin a nice walk
